Earth: An Introduction to Physical Geology, Tarbuck and Lutgens, 5th Edition, Prentice-Hall Publishers.
ISBN 0-13-114865-6
At Amazon.com, this volume was selling new for $90 the last time I checked, used around $4, and it comes included with a good CD-ROM. Note that the chapter numbers/order are different from edition to edition (I have the 5th Edition listed here), so stick with chapter subjects. In addition, the answers to the review questions I have listed for each chapter on this site are for the 5th Edition.
